Min Kyu Dong Plot
Min Kyu Dong is a South Korean film director, who directed the films “Whispering Corridors 2” and ‘Herstory’. He has been tested positive for COVID-19.
In a report by the Directors Guild of Korea on the 7th of September, Director Min Kyudong, who is the co-chairman for the Directors Guild of Korea, was examined for COVID-19 on the 5th, and confirmed positive in the afternoon of the 6th. Choi Woo-ri who is the director’s secretary general, told, “The director preemptively got tested for COVID-19 before being contacted by the health authorities after seeing an acquaintance with cold symptoms during his personal schedule,” and “All the staff who participated in the film festival were also tested afterwards.”
The 2018 Chungmuro Film Festival was held online, amid the spread of COVID-19. A majority of the staff on site were directors from the union. Staff members and Director Hong Ji-young who is Director Min’s wife, were also were tested negative for COVID-19. Director Hong Ji-young is marketing her film “New Year’s Eve” in advance of its release later this month.
