Kim Yong-wan, who’s been directing films for a long time is probably not familiar with the art of directing dramas. He explained, “What both fields have in common is that they are both converting video into text, and I believe the process of making it in conjunction with craftsmen from every field is the same.
Method was probably more challenging to create because it was made of special materials called’method’. What did PD KimYong-wan’s focus on while directing the project? He explained, “Writing is fun, but expressing it through video was a very different problem and difficult.”
He also said, “The people who helped me the most were my teachers Hyeon-woo, Jo Ji-hoon and Mi-young Yoon as well as the shaman team and musicians who gave suggestions from the shamanic perspective for the film The Wailing.
