Kang Yoon Sung is a South Korean director & writer. Kang Yun-seong who introduced an entirely new genre within the genre of crime and action in the film ‘Crime”, which attracted 6.88 million viewers, with thrilling action and a fast-paced plot and also won the New Director Award at the 54th Baeksang Arts Awards and the New Director Award at the 23rd Chunsa Film Festival.

The main character in the story in ‘Casino’ is a character called “Cha Mu-sik” and the character was created as an irreplaceable character thanks to the actor, Choi Min-sik. There is the reason that many have chosen this movie to experience Choi Min-sik’s performance.

Kang Yun-seong stated, “At first, I began creating the character “Cha Mu-sik” through writing. I had a conversation with people who lived a similar life and then, by incorporating fiction into it, I came up with an impressive depiction of someone who lives every day as if there was no tomorrow.

I wrote it in the intention of having it be perceived as a male and not a woman, but Choi Min Sik made several parts with care creating a distinctive character named ‘Cha mu-sik.'” he said, thanking Choi Min-sik for his work, and he was of course an outstanding actor.
