Harbin Synopsis and Plot Summary

Japan was forced to oblige Korea to sign the Eulsa Treaty in In 1905 that stripped the nation of diplomatic rights, thereby degrading the whole peninsula to a Japanese colony. In 1909 when the war in Harbin begins, Korea’s tiny however dedicated Righteous Army militia is deep into a fierce armed battle in opposition to Japanese.

In the aftermath of being only survivor of a bloody battle Ahn Jung-geun is the leader of an operation to kill Ito Hirobumi. He was the first Japanese Resident-General of Korea and was a significant symbol of oppression for this colonial system.

The mission requires Ahn along with his group to go undercover in Russia to gather resources and recruit allies, while devising sophisticated strategies to fool officials. With terrifying risks at every turn along their trail, and the whole scheme always in danger of collapsing.
