My Daughter Is a Zombie Synopsis and Plot Summary

This is a tale of family which reveals the day-to-day life of ‘Soo’ah’ the last zombie daughter in the universe as well as her father ‘Jeonghwan whom she is protected by as an act of martial law in response to the spreading of a zombie virus that has no known cause in the city.

It was deemed to have brought light to the plight of hatred, loneliness, and the love for family that is present in contemporary society through the combination of family and zombies. In recognition of its artistic quality it was awarded the Korea Creative Content Agency Award in the Cartoon category of the 2019 Korea Content Awards.

The animated show of the same name has been shown every Sunday, for 25 minutes, has been broadcast since the 3rd. A zombie outbreak with no reason is observed within South Korea. In the midst of people turning into zombies slowly Jung-hwan and Suah seek refuge in a cave and Su-ah gets bitten by a zombie and is infected.

Jung-hwan is the father who fled to his grandmother’s home located in the country, is convinced Su-ah’s zombie symptoms. However, what he observes is police shooting a child who is zombie to death using a gun. Government declares martial law, and declares that zombies are dead. The killing of those infected is legal.
