Fatou Samba Intro
Fatou Samba is a Senegalese performer, dancer, model and member of BLACKSWAN.
Her birthplace was in Senegal but was raised in Tienen, Belgium and eventually became an Belgian citizen. This is the first artist who is of African descent to appear in the K-pop scene.
She can also speak English, French, German, Dutch, and Korean.
Before her debut, she worked as an actress and model at Cineline Entertainment before she decided to join the company as a trainee after an acquaintance showed her the footage of SHINEE.
She debuted in 2020 when she joined the band as its principal performer, dancer and sub-vocalist in their first album, “Goodbye Rania”.
The group was however faced with lineup changes less than one month after launching. In 2022, following the departure of the leader Young Heun, she became the group’s new leader.
She was also the first to make her debut solo by releasing”PWAPF,” a album “PWAPF (Psycho with a Pretty Face)”.
