Escape Synopsis and Plot Summary

Military camp near close to the DMZ of a land divided in which South can be described as the country of liberty while the other side is a land of repression.

Sergeant Kyu Nam who has been plotting an escape plan to the South for some time and is stopped by the common soldiers, Dong Hyuk, from escape.

In danger of being executed State Security Department Major Hyun Sang is a fan of Kyu Nam since childhood.

Instead of blaming Kyu Nam, Hyun Sang decides to create Kyu Nam into a heroic figure because he took a deserter to justice.

Hyun Sang has managed to keep his records for performance, by rescuing Kyu Nam’s existence.

However, Kyu Nam wants to live life according to his own choices and not to follow the government’s directives.

He will never give up on getting across the border. However, Hyun Sang desperately stops Kyu Nam in order to save his life. It has been built through abandoning his dreams.
